Date, Dump, or Marry: Harry Potter Series

It had to be done. What kind of Potterhead would I be if I didn’t post a Date, Dump, or Marry about Harry Potter?! I was thinking of writing a post per book, but luckily I’ve grown from my rabid Potter fan days and settled with the one post.

My Characters

  1. Harry Potter
  2. Ronald Weasley
  3. Draco Malfoy

I debated on who to pick as #3 and Neville almost made it before I remembered that prior to the last movie I paid him almost no attention! Malfoy was always a bigger character in my head, thus he is one of my three!

Date

Because we’ve all wanted to date Harry Potter at one point. There’s no denying it.

Dump

I picked dump for Draco baring in mind the fact that we’d have to have dated in order for me to dump him. What can I say, I’m attracted to his bad boy exterior and (it may have be due to the exposure to Harry Potter fanfiction as a teen) I am also firm believer of his marshmallow soft interior!

Marry

There was no debate in my mind whatsoever whilst picking who to marry! As a teenager, I would have definitely picked Harry without a second though, because well it’s Harry. But now that I’m firmly in my 20s, I’ve grown wiser and also have the foresight of having read all of the entire series of Harry Potter books. Ron is a sweetheart (when he isn’t jealous of Harry and sulking about it), plus he actually makes me laugh, so Ron wins!

I’m still deciding on the book (or series) for the next game of Date, Dump, or Marry. I may choose a Jane Austen novel in support of my second go at the Jane Austen Challenge I’ve set for myself!
