Hey there, my name is Farhana! So you’ve stumbled across my website and want to know more about me? You’ve come to the right place!
Aside from being an avid reader and book reviewer, I’ve surpassed my teenage years and am currently a 21 year old student. I study BA English Literature at University and love to learn languages!
My linguistic ability:
Arabic – studied previously, I can read it but I lack an understanding of the language.
Bengali (sylhetti dialect) – My mother tongue
English – I’ve spent my whole life living in England so speaking English is synonymous to breathing for me!
German – Complete and utter beginner
Hindi – I can understand fully but cannot read or write it.
Korean – I can understand mostly but cannot read, write, speak.
Latin – I have studied and can read, write and understand at beginner level
Spanish – I have studied and can read, write, speak and understand at intermediate level.
Urdu – I can read, write and understand.
I’m a Londoner born and raised, though I have recently developed the traveller’s bug and want to see as much of the world as possible!
I love baking in order to relax and de-stress. (I’ve been told I make amazing Peanut Butter Cookies!) It’s something I’ve always loved and helps take the pressure off sometimes. Plus, I love the smell of baked treats so it’s a win-win! Television shows and dramas are an absolute addiction of mine, I watch both Western and Eastern dramas and love every minute of it. ♥
I have skills and experience in web design (html, css, php etc.), graphic design, SEO and most content management systems but I prefer to keep them as hobbies and side projects rather than a long-term career. Once I graduate, I intend to work in the Book Publishing Industry and will hopefully be continuing to write book reviews. My interests differ from Editorial, Marketing, PR and even the role of a Literary Agent.
